Position Summary

The Senior Product Owner is responsible for articulating a comprehensive vision for the product to be developed. This role involves creating well-defined user stories, prioritizing the product backlog, and establishing a clear timeline for delivery. The Senior Product Owner ensures the technical integrity and quality of the features and components managed by the team. A strong focus is placed on understanding the end-user experience, identifying needs, and defining features that will guide the product roadmap. This position requires building and nurturing relationships that enable the Senior Product Owner to effectively represent the customer’s interests and navigate organizational challenges.

This role operates in a hybrid capacity, requiring collaboration from both a remote setting and the designated office based on business requirements.

Compensation Overview

PG&E is committed to providing a salary range that reflects the company's good faith belief regarding compensation for this position at the time of posting. This range is specific to the job's locality, and actual salaries will be determined based on various factors including skills, education, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. While we anticipate that the successful candidate will be positioned between the entry point and the midpoint of the salary range, final decisions will be made on an individual basis. This position is also eligible for participation in PG&E's discretionary incentive compensation programs.

Salary Range:

Bay Area Minimum: $114,000

Bay Area Maximum: $182,000

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify target customer demographics, preferred communication methods, and benchmarks for customer engagement.
  • Lead moderately complex projects with significant corporate or functional priority.
  • Serve as the primary liaison among various departments, stakeholders, and business units.
  • Develop implementation strategies and assemble teams to integrate new technologies.
  • Create new tools, resources, and communications to enhance processes.
  • Assess new products and technologies, staying informed about market developments.
  • Develop new moderately complex products.
  • Provide product feedback and customer insights to inform product development.
  • Collaborate with product teams to offer feedback on existing products and propose potential future offerings.
  • Analyze work plans and schedules to optimize resource allocation and adjust program priorities.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Three years of relevant job experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Three years of experience as a Product Owner in an Agile environment.
  • Agile Certification.
