Speech Language Pathologist

Job Summary

As a Speech Language Pathologist at Geisinger Health System, you will be responsible for providing speech therapy services to patients, including evaluation and treatment of speech and language disorders, swallowing disorders, and video fluoroscopy swallowing studies. You will serve as a resource for staff in dealing with participants with communication, speech, and swallowing difficulties.

Key Responsibilities

Assess participants swallowing, speech and language, and feeding dysfunction and restorative potential.
Perform evaluations and assessments within 48 hours of receiving MD order.
Develop a comprehensive care plan for each patient.
Plan and perform therapeutic interventions to restore function and enhance quality of life to the greatest extent possible.
Provide speech therapy services to restore impaired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.

Requirements

Master's Degree in Speech Pathology.
Minimum of 2 years of related work experience.
Certificate of Clinical Competence - American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA); Licensed Speech Language Pathologist (Pennsylvania) - State of Pennsylvania.
