We are currently seeking an experienced Middle Office Loan Administrator. This pivotal role is centered on overseeing the loan documentation and closing processes for commercial, business, or commercial real estate loans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the documentation review and loan closing processes for various loan types.
- Collaborate directly with relationship managers, borrowers, legal representatives, title companies, insurance agents, and vendors to ensure all closing requirements are fulfilled and due diligence is performed.
- Act as a representative of the organization in interactions with clients and external agencies.
- Review and analyze complex loan documentation, ensuring accuracy and alignment with credit approvals.
- Ensure compliance with credit policies, documentation standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Identify potential risks and propose effective solutions.
- Document any waivers or deviations from policy appropriately.
- Guide attorneys in preparing loan documents in accordance with credit approvals and organizational requirements.
- Engage with clients to collect, review, and distribute necessary due diligence items for loan closings.
- Negotiate and coordinate loan documents with legal counsel effectively.
- Notify relevant parties of any missing items or required corrections, ensuring the attorney's closing checklist is accurate.
- Assist relationship managers with clarifications regarding legal, policy, and documentation issues.
- Verify that budget, escrow closing statements, and bank settlement statements are balanced, ensuring all fees and expenses are accounted for.
- Obtain necessary approvals and/or waivers and exceptions.
- May provide training and mentorship to junior loan closers.
- Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field, along with a minimum of 8 years of experience in commercial, business, or commercial real estate documentation and closing, including at least 4 years of experience in interpreting loan and legal documentation.
A combination of education and experience may also be considered.
Candidates should demonstrate extensive knowledge of loan closing processes, lending compliance, regulations, and documentation.
Expertise in loan principles and processes is essential, along with the ability to interpret complex loan and legal documentation.
Strong analytical and research skills are required, along with a detail-oriented approach and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Excellent problem-solving, audit, customer service, and communication skills (both verbal and written) are necessary.
Proficiency in computer applications, including word processing and spreadsheet software, is also required.
