As an Orthopedic Surgery RN, you will:
- Utilize the nursing process to provide comprehensive patient care, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
- Monitor and respond to changes in patient conditions, prioritizing care based on immediate needs.
- Conduct triage and consultations with patients and their families, adhering to established protocols.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians and healthcare team members, ensuring accurate documentation and communication regarding patient statuses.
- Prepare patients for examinations by obtaining vital signs and updating health information.
- Perform laboratory tests and assist with various medical procedures, maintaining strict adherence to infection control guidelines.
- Administer medications as per physician orders, including immunizations and IV therapy.
- Provide education and counseling to patients regarding treatment plans and self-care.
- Assist in the orientation and training of new staff, serving as a clinical resource.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring the availability of necessary supplies and equipment.
Qualifications:
- Must possess a valid Registered Nurse license in the state of practice.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within six months of hire.
- Associate's Degree in Nursing is mandatory.
- No prior experience is necessary; we welcome new graduates.
