Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Lift Station Operator Trainee to join our team at the Town of Davie. As a key member of our Utilities Maintenance department, you will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining lift station and treatment plant equipment and machinery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform semi-skilled to skilled technical work in monitoring and maintaining lift station and treatment plant equipment and machinery
  • Learn to maintain function and appearance of lift stations under the guidance of a Lift Station Operator
  • Report to Utilities Maintenance Supervisor
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited high school or GED
  • General knowledge of electrical maintenance and repairs
  • Ability to obtain Class C license in wastewater collection systems from an approved vendor of the Florida Department of Environmental Regulation within 2 years of employment
  • Ability to obtain, within one (1) year of employment, a Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with air brake and tanker endorsements
