As a caregiver on our team, you will provide one-on-one in-home care services such as companion care and personal care to keep the senior client safe, healthy, and comfortable at home.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Grooming & Hygiene: Assist with bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Mobility Assistance: Provide support with walking, transferring, and using transfer aids
  • Transferring & Positioning: Safely transfer clients from one position to another
  • Toileting & Incontinence Care: Assist with toileting and incontinence care
  • Meal Preparation & Cooking: Prepare and cook meals for clients
  • Light Housekeeping & Laundry: Assist with light housekeeping and laundry
  • Grocery Shopping/Errands/Transportation: Accompany clients on grocery shopping trips and errands
  • Medication Reminders: Remind clients to take their medications
  • Working with Dementia/Alzheimer's Clients: Provide care and support to clients with dementia or Alzheimer's

Requirements:

  • Minimum 6 months of caregiving experience preferred
  • Ability to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push, and pull
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs as needed throughout the shift
  • High level visual and hearing acuity and verbal communication required
  • Applicants must be bondable and meet or exceed minimum qualifications for criminal background investigation and motor vehicle driving record
  • Permission to submit to pre-employment, reasonable suspicion, and post-accident drug and alcohol testing
  • Must have valid South Carolina Driver's License
  • Must have reliable transportation and fulfill assignments with reliability and punctuality
  • Self-directing with the ability to work with little direct supervision
  • Empathy for the needs of the client
  • Treat clients, families, staff, and the public with courtesy and respect
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ensures confidentiality and security of the client's medical information
