About This Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Daytime Security Officer to join our team at Live Nation Entertainment. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our artists, crew, and guests at our events.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure artist and crew safety while they are in the building, working closely with production and production management to prevent and respond to any potential security threats.
  • Prevent and resolve altercations among guests, using effective communication and de-escalation techniques to resolve conflicts.
  • Lead guests and other employees in emergency evacuation procedures and provide assistance as needed.
  • Maintain control of the area by circulating through your work area throughout the shift, ensuring that all guests and employees are aware of and following security protocols.
  • Check the identification of any guest who appears to be under 30 years of age who is drinking alcoholic beverages inside the venue, ensuring that all guests are in compliance with our policies and regulations.
  • Ensure that no weapons or harmful items enter the venue by inspecting every guest with a metal detector or pat-down search, maintaining a safe and secure environment for all.
  • Enforce House policy regarding photos/videos/recording devices, ensuring that all guests are aware of and comply with our policies.
  • Safeguard against theft and property damage, taking proactive steps to prevent and respond to any potential security threats.
  • Communicate clearly using radios, hand signals, and flashlights, remaining in constant contact with other security personnel throughout the shift.
  • Set up the area before opening, ensuring that all necessary equipment and supplies are in place and that the area is safe and secure.
  • Keep the interior and exterior of the venue clear and safe, cleaning spills and removing food, trash, or other obstacles before, during, and after the shift.
Requirements
  • Ability to work long hours, both daytime and evening hours, in a fast-paced and often loud and stressful environment.
  • Flexible schedule, with the ability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Read, write, and speak English fluently, with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other employees.
  • Must be able to lift or move up to 25 pounds using proper lifting techniques, with the ability to stand for long periods of time and move quickly and safely in response to emergencies.
  • Tolerance of all cultures, music, and art forms, with the ability to work in a diverse and inclusive environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bi-lingual, with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other employees who speak multiple languages.
  • Experience recognizing valid IDs, with the ability to verify the age and identity of guests.
  • Experience in a live music environment, with knowledge of the industry and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Experience with de-escalation techniques, with the ability to resolve conflicts and maintain a safe and secure environment.
  • Self-defense training, with the ability to protect oneself and others in response to potential security threats.
  • Experience using metal detection equipment, with the ability to inspect guests and prevent the entry of prohibited items.
  • EMT or other medical background, with the ability to provide medical assistance and respond to emergencies.
Working Environment
  • Working environment is fast-paced, often loud and stressful, with the ability to work in a variety of settings, including indoor and outdoor environments.
  • Position requires extended periods of prolonged standing and working on your feet, with the ability to move quickly and safely in response to emergencies.
  • Must be able to lift or move up to 25 pounds using proper lifting techniques, with the ability to stand for long periods of time and move quickly and safely in response to emergencies.
