Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Server to join our team at The Hawthorns Golf & Country Club. As a Server, you will be the face of our Club, responsible for providing exceptional service to our members and ensuring a memorable dining experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare Dining Rooms: Ensure that dining rooms are clean, sanitized, and well-organized, providing a welcoming atmosphere for our members.
  • Greet Members: Greet members upon arrival, making them feel welcome and valued.
  • Present Menus: Present menus to members, helping them to select food and beverages that meet their preferences.
  • Take and Serve Orders: Take orders accurately and serve food and beverages in a timely manner, ensuring that members receive their orders as requested.
  • Answer Questions and Make Recommendations: Answer questions about menu items, make recommendations, and provide information about our Club's offerings.
  • Collaborate with Other Staff: Collaborate with other servers, kitchen, and bar staff to ensure seamless service and a positive member experience.
  • Deal with Complaints: Handle complaints or problems in a professional and courteous manner, resolving issues to the satisfaction of our members.
  • Issue Checks and Accept Payment: Issue checks and accept payment from members, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
Requirements:
  • Experience: 3 years of experience in a server role, preferably in a high-volume dining environment.
  • Cashier Experience: Hands-on experience in cashier duties, including handling cash, credit card transactions, and operating a point-of-sale system.
  • Attention to Cleanliness and Safety: Strong attention to cleanliness and safety, ensuring that our members receive a clean and safe dining experience.
  • Patience and Customer-Oriented Approach: Possess patience and a customer-oriented approach, providing exceptional service to our members.
  • Excellent People Skills: Excellent people skills, with a friendly and approachable attitude.
  • Responsibility and Trustworthiness: Demonstrate responsibility and trustworthiness, handling cash and sensitive information with confidentiality.
  • Education: High school diploma required.
  • Liquor License: Indiana liquor license required or in the process of obtaining.
