The Samaritan Health Services team is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our dedicated rehabilitation team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in delivering safe and effective occupational therapy services to patients with injuries or conditions that have caused a decline in self-care, physical mobility, or functional independence.

Your primary responsibility will be to evaluate, treat, and educate patients to meet their identified needs and functional goals. This involves implementing appropriate evaluation, treatment, and education programs, as well as communicating effectively and professionally with patients, families/caregivers, and team members.

Department Description

The Rehabilitation department at Samaritan Health Services evaluates and treats patients with various injuries or conditions that require rehabilitation. Our acute services are centered around the Samaritan Pacific Communities Hospital, a community-based 25-bed critical access hospital. Outpatient services are one-on-one and feature therapist-driven treatment times.

Responsibilities and Qualifications
  • Current unencumbered Oregon Occupational Therapist license required
  • Healthcare Provider BLS certification required
Skills and Abilities
  • Possess skills and knowledge of principles, methods, and procedures for diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of physical and cognitive conditions
  • Ability to provide counseling and guidance
  • Strong business writing skills, including ability to professionally communicate clinical content in written documentation
  • Effective written and oral communication skills to explain complex issues, exchange information between team members, and discuss issues tactfully
  • Ability to work, function, and communicate on a multi-disciplinary team
  • Ability to organize, plan, and prioritize work to complete within required time frames
