Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California seeks a highly skilled Pharmacy Initiatives Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Pharmacy Department, you will collaborate with the Vice President to develop and implement strategic medication-related initiatives across our facilities, affiliates, and medical network.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, design, and implement strategic pharmacy initiatives related to therapeutic breakthroughs, financial stewardship, transitions of care, employee prescription benefits, safety, and quality.
- Coordinate and manage projects to improve medication safety and quality, including gap analyses and the design of new services.
- Develop and maintain clinical, regulatory, and financial stewardship knowledge to ensure compliance and excellence in patient care.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address medication-related concerns and opportunities for improvement.
- Doctorate Degree in Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited School of Pharmacy.
- CA Pharmacist License and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- 2 years of experience in clinical pharmacy services or supervisor/management experience, with a Post Graduate Year (PGY) 1 and PGY-2 residency or equivalent practice experience.
- Lean management/process improvement experience is a plus.
Cedars-Sinai Medical Center is a nonprofit, acute, tertiary, teaching Level I trauma center hospital located in the heart of Los Angeles. Our Pharmacy Department has over 500 staff members who provide comprehensive inpatient pharmacy services and outpatient services via two cancer centers, outpatient pharmacies, and ambulatory care clinics.
