Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Surgical Nursing Specialist to join our team at One Brooklyn Health. This role requires a skilled nurse who can provide high-quality patient care, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Assess patients' conditions, develop care plans, and implement evidence-based interventions.
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Develop and implement educational programs for patients and families on surgical procedures, post-operative care, and wound management.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EHRs, adhering to hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in performance improvement projects to enhance patient outcomes, satisfaction, and safety.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in surgical nursing or charge nursing.
  • Strong critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
  • Current NY State RN License required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certifications required.
Salary Range:

$105,000 - $120,000 per year, based on experience.
