The primary role of the Retail Cashier is to efficiently manage cashier duties while upholding exceptional customer service standards. Responsibilities include:

  • Welcoming and engaging with every customer and colleague.
  • Accurately processing all sales transactions and ensuring daily cash accountability.
  • Addressing customer service inquiries and concerns effectively to management.

Specific Duties Include:

  • Handling various payment methods including cash, checks, and credit cards.
  • Counting cash drawers at the start and end of shifts to confirm transaction accuracy.
  • Maintaining a tidy and organized front office area.
  • Filing daily invoices and verifying out-of-state checks with the bank.
  • Confirming customer account details with finance companies.
  • Processing special orders and payments for fabric checkouts.
  • Performing additional tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

Successful candidates will demonstrate:

  • Proficiency in using hands and fingers repetitively.
  • Basic computer skills and mathematical abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and effective communication skills.

Physical Requirements:
