The Urology Clinic Nurse role at Medix is a unique blend of Triage Nurse and Urology Clinic Nurse responsibilities. The ideal candidate will provide professional nursing assessments, prioritize treatments according to urgency, and deliver exceptional patient care in a fast-paced clinic environment.


Triage Nurse Responsibilities:


Utilize critical thinking and nursing skills to assess patient problems, both in-office and over the phone, to determine patient disposition.

Facilitate patient care and document all communication in the electronic health record. Provide outstanding customer service to patients and team members. Maintain strict patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations. Maintain a clean and safe work area.
Clinical RN Responsibilities:
Escort patients to and from exam rooms for procedures. Provide patient education and assist physicians with Urolift and Space OARs, Aveed and Provenge, assessing for allergic reactions. Perform independently catheter and suprapubic catheter changes, Aveed, Provenge infusions, PTNS, Bladder Instillations, and Urodynamics. Clean and disinfect instruments. Utilize current nursing practices to provide patient care while focusing on patient needs and exemplifying service excellence, care, concern, respect, and cooperation.

Quick Decision Making Skills. Efficient Multi-Tasking. Experience with EPIC Software. Knowledgeable and proficient in computer applications (Excel/Word). Ability to handle stressful and constantly changing conditions. Team player that can work well without supervision.
