Speech-Language Pathologist Job Summary

As a Speech-Language Pathologist at the Good Samaritan Society, you will play a vital role in helping individuals with speech and language disorders. Your expertise will be essential in assessing and treating clients with various communication and swallowing issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer speech and language evaluations, tests, or examinations to diagnose and plan treatments for clients with speech problems and swallowing disorders.
  • Assess clients with speech, language, cognitive, or swallowing problems and develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical diagnoses.
  • Provide speech and language services to clients, monitor disease progression, and adjust treatments accordingly.
  • Instruct clients in practicing speech and language therapeutic exercises and provide consultation for clients working through speech and language treatment processes.

Requirements:

  • Appropriate education level required in accordance with state licensure.
  • Licensed in the state(s) of practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence issued by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA) or currently working on Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY).
