Philanthropy Officer

ROLE SUMMARY

Reporting to the Director of Gifts & Gratitude, the Philanthropy Officer plays a pivotal role in identifying, researching, cultivating, soliciting, and managing a diverse portfolio of mid-level individual donors. This position encompasses individuals contributing personally or through donor-advised funds and family foundations. The Officer will be tasked with initiating contact, arranging personal meetings, and collaborating with senior leadership and the development team to maintain and enhance donor relationships, attract new supporters, and further the fundraising mission of Kripalu.

With a strong foundation of loyal supporters, Kripalu seeks to expand its donor base by engaging both existing and new patrons.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee a portfolio of individual donors to achieve annual fundraising objectives.
• Articulate and promote Kripalu's expanding array of impactful programs and scholarship initiatives.
• Coordinate outreach efforts within Kripalu to ensure effective donor engagement.
• Stay informed about both traditional and innovative fundraising strategies to enhance existing initiatives.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in fundraising, with a proven track record in one-on-one donor engagement and relationship building.
• Exemplary integrity, judgment, and discretion, coupled with a professional demeanor that fosters trust among stakeholders.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Experience with donor management systems; familiarity with Raiser's Edge NXT is preferred.
