Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner, providing information about products and services.
  • Inventory Management: Receive and log scheduled deliveries, track product inventory, and maintain accurate records.
  • Cash Handling: Operate a cash register, manage cash transactions, and maintain a secure and accurate cash handling environment.
  • Store Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including restocking shelves, sweeping and mopping floors, and performing other tasks as needed.
  • Marketing and Promotion: Assist in promoting agri-tourism in Erie County, describing local farms, produce, food, and products displayed, and maintaining equipment and troubleshooting as necessary.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent education.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to clearly communicate (speak, read, and write proficiently) in English.
  • Math Skills: Ability to complete basic math functions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of the job.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work effectively as part of a team and maintain a positive and professional attitude.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to operate or learn to operate a cash register, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience: One (1) year retail sales experience.
  • Customer Service Skills: Experience working in customer service and retail environments.
  • Marketing Skills: Understanding of basic marketing principles.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with internet-based communications and Microsoft Office Suite.
Working Conditions

This is a part-time position, working 32 hours per week. The successful candidate will be required to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
