Position Overview:
As a Post-Anesthesia Care Unit Nurse, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality nursing care to patients recovering from surgical procedures. Your responsibilities will include assessing patients' conditions, formulating and executing comprehensive nursing plans, and ensuring optimal recovery in a same-day surgery environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of post-operative patients to monitor their recovery progress.
- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans tailored to each patient's needs.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with established protocols.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families throughout the recovery process.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all supplies are adequately stocked.
Qualifications:
- Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Possess a valid Registered Nurse License.
- Hold current certifications in BLS and ACLS from the American Heart Association.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, and lifting as required.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential for success in this role.
