Job SummaryThis role plays a critical part in ensuring our plant meets food regulatory requirements, maintaining a safe and compliant environment for all production processes.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently with moderate supervision.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and maintain compliance with food regulatory requirements, identifying areas of improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of environmental swabs, air sampling dishes, and lab retain samples, verifying that they meet program requirements.
- Verify pH levels, temperature, and brix of each batch of juice produced, ensuring they meet product specifications.
- Document facility operation inspections and good manufacturing practices (GMPs), performing standard sanitation operational procedures (SSOPs) verification and ATP swabs.
- Track non-conforming product and their dispositions, collaborating with the Quality Assurance Manager to address any issues.
- Perform equipment calibrations and make necessary adjustments, ensuring seamless production processes.
- Participate in testing of food products to ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
- Conduct inventory checks, verifying that all necessary items are available and up-to-date.
- Verify volumes, torques, and bottle weights against product specifications, completing and entering pallet tags and CCP forms into the database.
- Record cycles and verify HPP settings and information, performing metal mesh and magnet inspections as required.
- Verify production lot codes, labels, mold numbers, and packaging against product specifications.
- Assist with lab duties as needed, supporting shipping and receiving verification.
- Adhere to SOP, SSOP, GMP, and HACCP guidelines when working in the plant.
- High School Diploma or equivalent, with HACCP certification preferred (can be obtained on the job).
- 1-2 years' experience in quality assurance or a related field, preferably in the food industry.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and strong leadership skills.
- Excellent oral, written, and presentation communication skills, with Spanish a plus.
- Strong computer skills, critical thinking abilities, and adaptability to constant changes.
