Job Description:

The University of South Carolina is seeking a skilled Clinical Research Nurse to join our team. As a research nurse, you will be responsible for the day-to-day clinical oversight and delivery of a 14-week nurse-guided/community health worker telehealth intervention for patients who have previously been hospitalized with COVID-19, as well as their care partners.

This position is an exciting opportunity to work on a research study funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and National Institutes of Nursing Research (NINR), which seeks to improve current and future chronic illness management among adult African American COVID-19 survivors and their caregivers in medically underserved and rural areas of South Carolina.

You will conduct virtual/remote clinical interviews and assessments with assigned research participants via telehealth, maintain calendars, schedule participants, and deliver the intervention component of the study per the protocol and procedures. Additionally, you will work collaboratively with a Community Health Worker to devise and oversee individualized COVID Survivor and Carepartner wellness plans, ensuring accurate and timely data entry into the electronic research study database.

About the Position:

This full-time position requires a bachelor's degree and 1 or more years of experience in nursing. The ideal candidate will have considerable knowledge and skills in the application of the techniques and practice of the nursing profession, as well as knowledge regarding community health research. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential for this role, as you will interact with all levels of personnel in an academic and community setting.
