Key Responsibilities
  • Assist residents in boarding and exiting the bus

  • Operate the vehicle responsibly, adhering to all local and state driving laws
  • Coordinate regular vehicle maintenance and cleaning
  • Report vehicle malfunctions and incidents to the Director of Recreation
  • Complete incident reports for any resident accidents, injuries, or episodes
  • Ensure the vehicle is cleaned after each trip
  • Perform errands as assigned by the Executive Director and/or Director of Recreation
  • Assist the Director of Recreation with activities-related tasks
Requirements
  • Valid New York State Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Passenger Endorsement
  • Clean driving record with no moving violations (DMV check will be conducted)
  • Knowledge of vehicle care and rules of the road
  • Pleasant and courteous demeanor towards residents and colleagues
  • Ability to speak and read English
  • Flexibility to work a varied schedule
  • Strong sense of direction and knowledge of local layouts
  • 20/20 vision and good hearing
  • Willingness to assist the recreation team and management with additional tasks

Candidates must submit to a DMV background check. A clean driving record is required. Must have or be willing to get a COVID-19 vaccine, subject to legal accommodations.
