Job Opportunity

Great Western Dining Service, Inc. is seeking a skilled Prep Cook to join our team. As a Prep Cook, you will play a vital role in the preparation of delicious dishes in our kitchen.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of ingredients and cooking duties
  • Label and stock ingredients on shelves for easy access
  • Measure and prepare ingredients for cooking
  • Undertake basic cooking duties such as reducing sauces and parboiling food
  • Prepare simple dishes such as salads and entrees
  • Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen environment
  • Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
  • Comply with nutrition and sanitation guidelines

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Prep Cook
  • Knowledge of health and safety rules in a kitchen
  • Manual dexterity to operate cutting tools and kitchen utensils
  • A team player with good communication skills
  • Patient with an ability to stay positive under pressure
  • Good physical condition and endurance
