Job Summary

Adams State University is seeking a highly skilled Grant Specialist to support institutional advancement. The successful candidate will be responsible for researching, writing, and submitting grant proposals to secure financial support for university initiatives and projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough research to identify funding opportunities that align with the university's strategic priorities and initiatives.
  • Develop and write compelling grant proposals and narratives that effectively communicate project goals, research methodologies, outcomes, and budget justifications.
  • Assist faculty and staff in developing or completing the non-technical aspects of grant proposals.
  • Ensure compliance with all grant requirements, including agency regulations and institutional policy.
  • Coordinate proposal development meetings, agendas, timelines, and deliverables to ensure timely submission.
  • Provide guidance and support to faculty, staff, and consultants on developing competitive proposals.
  • Maintain a current listing of grant resources and conduct informational presentations or workshops for campus constituents.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Business, Public Administration, or related field.
  • Proven experience in grant writing, budgets, and proposal development.
  • Excellent writing, editing, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree and experience securing and executing federal, state, and/or private grant funding at a university.
  • Knowledge of funding sources and grant-making processes in higher education or related fields.
