As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist at Rochester Regional Health, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care through the performance of diagnostic CT and X-ray exams, screening CT exams, and interventional CT procedures. You will work closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic CT and X-ray exams, screening CT exams, and interventional CT procedures in accordance with approved techniques and standards.
  • Complete necessary documentation for each exam to ensure radiologists can provide quality diagnostic interpretation and ensure accurate billing.
  • Communicate with radiologists and department leadership to ensure high-quality patient care and meet provider needs.
  • Operate CT scanner, general diagnostic radiographic equipment, and ancillary support systems to perform CT and diagnostic radiographic procedures per provider orders.
  • Adhere to professional standards of the NYS Department of Health and the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
Requirements
  • A valid NYS radiology license and certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (R). ARRT(CT) preferred.
  • Must be ARRT registered in CT within 6 months of hire.
  • One year work experience in a hospital setting preferred.
Work Environment

This is a per-diem position with variable scheduling. The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a team of dedicated healthcare professionals.
