Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Optical Specialist at LUXOTTICA OF AMERICA INC. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient experiences through the selection, measurement, ordering, and fitting of eyewear. You will work closely with our patients to understand their needs and priorities, and use your expertise to provide personalized solutions.

Key Responsibilities

* Custom fit glasses and precisely place prescriptions in lenses
* Act as a leader in optical acumen, providing guidance and support to peers
* Take and record measurements, adjust or fit eyewear correctly, ensuring finished products meet standards and patient requirements
* Explore patient needs and priorities, asking open-ended questions to understand their requirements
* Assist peers with difficult or complex areas of product needs and prescriptions
* Utilize practice tools and adhere to company policies and procedures

Requirements

* High school graduate or equivalent
* Active state optical licensure, with a commitment to maintaining licensure
* Strong customer service skills, including communication, listening, and team building
* Knowledge of inventory management systems
* Basic math skills, with the ability to use a tablet for sales
* Ability to work weekends and evenings, with a commitment to attendance and daily timekeeping
