Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Spiritual Care: Offer compassionate spiritual support to patients and families of all backgrounds through direct visitation, telephone support, and written correspondence.
  • Conduct Spiritual Assessments: Conduct thorough spiritual assessments to identify patients' spiritual needs and develop personalized care plans.
  • Collaborate with Interdisciplinary Teams: Work closely with healthcare teams to coordinate care and provide spiritual support to patients and families.
  • Facilitate Meaning-Making Conversations: Engage patients and families in conversations to help them find meaning and purpose in their experiences.
  • Document Patient Encounters: Accurately document all patient and family interactions in the medical record.
  • Provide Support to Staff: Offer emotional and spiritual support to staff members, including one-on-one consultations and group debriefings.
  • Participate in Spiritual Leadership: Provide sacramental support, officiate services and ceremonies, and participate in the development and delivery of Spiritual Care programs.
  • Establish and Maintain Relationships: Build and maintain professional relationships with patients, families, colleagues, and leadership.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Divinity or related field
  • Experience in spiritual care or a related field
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility with clinical assignments and work schedules
