Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at T R Miller Mill CO Inc. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Disassemble and reassemble equipment for repair or transportation, building the foundation for machines, constructing and installing equipment such as shafting conveyors and tram rails.
  • Review and interpret engineering specifications, schematics, and blueprints to determine work procedures.
  • Transfer equipment to the applicable site for maintenance to avoid contamination or safety hazards.
  • Grind and file machine parts, supervising construction workers when using the equipment.
  • Work with a range of hand tools including measuring tools, welding and brazing equipment.

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems and equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering specifications, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
