Responsibilities:
\u2022 Perform laboratory tests on blood, tissues, and other bodily fluids to aid in the diagnosis of diseases and conditions.
\u2022 Interpret lab test results and identify any abnormalities, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of these results to assist doctors in making informed decisions about patient care.
\u2022 Implement and monitor quality control procedures to maintain high standards in laboratory testing, calibrate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment.
\u2022 Keep accurate and detailed records of all laboratory tests performed and their results, input data into our laboratory information systems.
\u2022 Ensure all laboratory operations comply with hospital policies, governmental regulations, and accreditation requirements.
Qualifications:
\u2022 ASCP certification, or equivalent required.
\u2022 Minimum two years of hospital laboratory work experience.
\u2022 Bachelor\u0027s degree in chemical, physical, biological science, or Medical Laboratory Technology from an accredited institution, or other educational requirements as stated in CLIA (42 CFR).
\u2022 Current and valid state license if the laboratory is located in a state where required.
