Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Direction: Provide guidance and oversight to yard personnel, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Inventory Management: Conduct cycle-counts, maintain accurate inventory records, and ensure proper storage and handling of products.
- Logistics and Shipping: Coordinate with Freight Manager to ensure timely and efficient shipping and receiving of products, including management of DOT stock lots and customer orders.
- Yard Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized yard, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
- Training and Development: Provide training and certification programs for department personnel, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory role, preferably in a manufacturing or logistics environment.
- Skills: Strong leadership and organizational skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency in operating systems and inventory procedures.
The Yard Supervisor will be required to work in a warehouse environment, with frequent exposure to temperature extremes and physical labor. The ability to lift 75 pounds and stand for extended periods is essential.
