Job Summary

Pacific Spice Company is seeking a highly skilled Quality Control Inspector to join our team. As a Quality Control Inspector, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of our products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Pre-Operational and Post-Operational Inspections: Conduct thorough inspections of our production lines to ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP), and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) protocols.
  • Product Quality Control: Verify that our products meet standard specifications and customer requirements, including net weight, label reconciliation, and retail seal bottle checks.
  • Deviation Reporting: Identify and report any deviations from established protocols to department heads, leads, and the Quality Control Manager to ensure prompt resolution and implementation of corrective actions.
  • Microbiological Testing: Ensure that microbiological testing of blend production batches is conducted in a timely manner and that production samples, including daily magnet and metal detector findings, are pulled as needed.
  • Quality Control Data Entry and Organization: Accurately record and maintain quality control information, including filing and organization of relevant documents.
  • Cross-Training: Be cross-trained with Quality Control Technician responsibilities to ensure a comprehensive understanding of our quality control processes.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other duties as requested by management, including customer service, sales, and purchasing tasks as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent, or a minimum of two years' related experience.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of food safety principles, including GMP and HACCP, ability to follow standard operating procedures, and strong communication skills.
  • Preferred Education: B.S. in Food Science or Chemistry, or a related field.
  • Industry Experience: Preferably experience working in an industry regulated by the FDA.
