We are seeking a highly qualified Academic Professional of Social Work to join our team at Jackson State University. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching, research, and service in the School of Social Work.
Key Responsibilities- Teaching: Teach a minimum of 9-12 credit hours per academic semester, participate in online education and face-to-face education, and advise undergraduate students.
- Research: Engage in research, grant funding, and publication, and provide service to the school, college, university, and community activities.
- Service: Offer office hours on campus, provide service to the school, college, university, and community activities, and perform other duties as assigned.
- Education: Must have a CSWE accredited MSW or doctoral degree (such as a Ph.D. or DSW) in Social Work.
- Experience: Two (2) years of experience, preferably in a clinical setting, and licensed in the field of social work with an LMSW or LCSW.
- Skills and Abilities: Prior teaching experience, particularly in an urban setting and online, evidence of funded research and scholarly publications, experience working in an academic environment, and field instruction and program administrative experience.
