Key ResponsibilitiesWe seek dedicated professionals who will embody the principles of the Select Medical Way, which emphasizes patient-first care, enhancing community quality of life, continuous improvement, and delivering high-quality service with integrity.
In this role, you will utilize your judgment and expertise to assist patients and their families in navigating the challenges of illness within the hospital setting. Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting initial and ongoing comprehensive patient assessments.
- Advancing continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Providing education and support to patients and their families.
- Establishing treatment goals and developing tailored care plans.
- Collaborating to address patient-specific and facility-wide needs.
- Participating in discharge planning, including patient/family education and necessary adaptive equipment.
- Supervising Physical Therapy Assistants and students in training.
- Implementing individualized therapy regimens for patients.
- Monitoring patient responses to treatment and adjusting plans as necessary.
- Completing required documentation in accordance with departmental protocols.
- Engaging in departmental and community educational opportunities.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of patient needs, ensuring that each individual feels informed, understood, and valued. A passion for delivering high-quality care and a knack for problem-solving in a dynamic environment are essential.
Minimum Requirements:
- Successful completion of all educational requirements for state licensure or eligibility for licensure in Physical Therapy.
- Current state licensure (or eligibility for state licensure) is required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the start date.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior supervisory experience is preferred.
