Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to work as part of a multidisciplinary team providing mental health assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and crisis intervention services to adult and child members. The successful candidate will have a Master's degree in Social Work or a related field and be registered as an Associate Clinical Social Worker (California).

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Under supervision, provide mental health assessment, triage, diagnosis, treatment, and crisis intervention services for adult and/or child members.
  • Collaborate with treating primary care providers, psychiatric professionals, and allied health teams to plan and direct individual patient treatment programs.
  • Provide appropriate support to members' families, including explanation of treatment plans, instructions on how to support treatment, and interventions to increase acceptance and adherence to treatment.
  • Utilize resources from public and private agencies and community organizations to meet the needs of members' treatment, including referrals to external resources.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Master's degree in Social Work, Clinical Psychology, or a related field from an accredited college or university by start date.
  • Registration as an Associate Clinical Social Worker (California)
  • Experience in assessing, diagnosing, and treating a broad range of psychiatric conditions.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with DSM-V as a means of diagnosis.
  • Knowledge of social service agencies, state regulations, and professional board standards relevant to member treatment, patient rights, and confidentiality.
Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position is estimated to be around $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. Kaiser Permanente offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
