Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Equipment Engineer Intern to join our team at Corning. As an intern, you will assist in defining equipment specifications, project plans, and design reviews. You will also be responsible for problem-solving and troubleshooting to ensure timely resolution of equipment-related issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in defining equipment specifications and project plans
  • Participate in design reviews and provide input on equipment design
  • Assist in problem-solving and troubleshooting to resolve equipment-related issues
  • Provide cost and schedule updates on assigned projects
  • Support equipment acceptance testing, installation, and validation
  • Apply general engineering and manufacturing skills to support root cause analysis and implement permanent solutions
  • Recommend and implement permanent solutions to long-term performance issues
  • Meet all Environmental, Safety, and Health requirements
Requirements
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Automation, Controls, Electrical, Mechanical, or Physics
  • Available for 10 weeks during Summer 2025 (May-August 2025) with a graduation date of December 2025 or later
  • Interested in working for Corning, Inc. after graduation, if presented with a full-time job opportunity
  • Willing to work at the posted job location

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • High skill level with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
  • Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing project requirements and deadlines
  • Self-motivated and able to take initiative
Additional Information

This position does not support immigration sponsorship. The range for this position is $1, $3,185.00 biweekly. Starting pay for the successful applicant is prescribed based on geographic location, nature of position, and year in school.
