Electrician

We are seeking a skilled Electrician to join our team at the University of Central Missouri. As an Electrician, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and conducting preventive maintenance for the Night Maintenance Shop. You will also provide additional assistance in the completion of routine and emergency work orders that require the use of other trade skills.

• Maintain, repair, and conduct preventive maintenance for the Night Maintenance Shop
• Provide additional assistance in the completion of routine and emergency work orders
• Work independently and as part of a team to complete tasks and projects
• Communicate effectively with colleagues and other departments
• Work well under pressure and maintain a positive attitude

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Formal training in electrical or HVAC trade
• 6 months experience in electrical service, operations, and/or preventive maintenance in an industrial or commercial setting
• Additional experience and skills in the maintenance of various trades; plumbing, carpentry, or HVAC preferred
• Criminal History check and valid driver's license required

This position requires working in a fast-paced environment with occasional nights and weekends. You will be exposed to extreme temperatures, fumes and/or chemicals, heights, and loud noises. You must be able to lift weights and work in cramped spaces, hot areas, and wet areas.
