Job Overview

The GME Program Coordinator for the Internal Medicine-Pediatrics (Med-Peds) Residency Program plays a vital role in assisting the program directors with the comprehensive management of the residency initiative. This position demands exceptional organizational, communicative, and analytical abilities. The coordinator will work closely with program managers from both the Pediatric and Internal Medicine residency programs. While the coordinator's primary office is located within the Department of Internal Medicine, collaborative engagements and meetings will also take place across various affiliated institutions. The standard working hours for this role are Monday through Friday, with occasional evening or weekend commitments required throughout the year.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the collection and organization of resident applications, ensuring effective communication with prospective candidates regarding the application process, and coordinating interview schedules and itineraries. Initiate and oversee all hiring documentation for accepted residents, collaborating with relevant HR departments and the Hospital GME Office as necessary. Prepare annual contracts for residents, handling all aspects of licensing, credentialing, and orientation logistics. Compile and maintain comprehensive resident schedules, including call, conference, procedure logs, clinic rotations, and evaluations. Ensure compliance with ACGME accreditation standards. Maintain and update Qgenda for resident scheduling. Facilitate evaluation committee meetings and conduct semi-annual performance reviews. Attend monthly meetings with Program Coordinators and Program Directors organized by the GME office. Oversee the maintenance of the program's external website and internal shared resources. Represent the program and department in national organizations or committees relevant to Med-Peds. Assist program leadership in organizing social events for residents and faculty. Perform additional duties as assigned. Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree. A combination of five (5) years of relevant work experience or specialized training may substitute for educational requirements. Experience:
A minimum of one year of experience in a program coordinator role is preferred.
