Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the care and treatment of patients with mental health conditions
- Observe and report on the behavior and condition of patients
- Provide therapeutic and recreational activities for patients
- Assist in the implementation of treatment plans
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care
Qualifications:
- Certificate of graduation from an accredited Psychiatric Technician Program
- Completion of an equivalent education and experience that meets the requirements of the American Association of Psychiatric Technicians
- Completion of education and experience as a behavioral science specialist/technician in the United States military, with proof of having completed an Armed Forces course involving psychiatric technician training or a civilian course from an accredited school in the care of behavioral health patients
- At least one year of experience as a Psychiatric Technician after graduation
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
