We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Physician to join our team at Brookdale Premier Addiction Recovery. As a key member of our medical staff, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our treatment program.
Key Responsibilities- Collaboration with Admissions Department: Work closely with the Admissions Department to ensure a smooth and efficient admissions process, ensuring that patients are medically appropriate for our level of care.
- Medical History and Physical: Conduct thorough medical histories and physicals upon admission for all patients admitted to our program.
- Weekly Patient Meetings: Meet with patients on a weekly basis to monitor their progress and provide guidance and support.
- Medication Management: Prescribe and oversee medications and/or medical interventions as necessary to ensure optimal patient care.
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Collaborate with the Director of Nursing, Psychiatrist, Executive Director, and Clinical Director to discuss individual treatment progress and make informed decisions.
- Representation of the Treatment Program: Act on behalf of the treatment program when interacting with external entities, including insurance companies, licensing bodies, and accreditation agencies.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation in our Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
- Treatment Planning: Assist program treatment staff in developing treatment plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Compliance and Adherence: Adhere to all Discovery Behavioral Health policies and procedures, as well as health code policies, Joint Commission, HIPAA, and licensing regulations.
