Detroit Medical Center (DMC) is a leading academically-integrated hospital system in Metro Detroit, seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Technologist to join our team as a CT Scan Specialist. About the Role

As a CT Scan Specialist, you will play a vital role in performing diagnostic CT exams utilizing appropriate imaging equipment. Your primary responsibilities will include verifying patient identity, reviewing medical records for exam appropriateness, and explaining procedures to patients. You will also set up equipment, acquire images, and review them to make initial observations, documenting exceptions from established protocols and communicating data to radiologists. Additionally, you will provide post-care instructions to patients, participate in process improvement activities, and provide imaging education to residents, student technologists, and new employees.
Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should have a strong foundation in analytical and clinical skills, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail. We require a Registered Radiologic Technologist (RRT) certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiology or Computed Tomography (CT), and one or more years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist in Radiology or advanced certification in Computed Tomography. You must also be able to lift and position patients, operate equipment, and utilize specialized software to produce high-quality images. A background in pediatric and adult patient care is preferred.
Compensation and Benefits
We offer an attractive compensation package, including an estimated salary of $65,000-$80,000 per year, based on experience.
