Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Plumber to join our team at the Materials and Fuels Complex (MFC) at Idaho National Laboratory. As a Plumber, you will be responsible for performing journeyman maintenance and installation of piping, plumbing, and tubing systems and components.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot, repair, install, and perform coupling and alignment of mechanical piping and tubing systems and components.
  • Analyze design requirements, experimental plans, and other standard processes, and propose appropriate alternatives.
  • Use mastery of knowledge base and skill associated with technical specialty.
  • Work within policy and procedural direction from management.
  • Work with management to implement established policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that Human Performance Improvement (HPI) tools and strong safety culture principles are embedded into daily activities.
  • Continually report progress appropriately to project and line managers.
  • Serve as a resource to peers, junior staff, and management.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Plumbing Journeyman License.
  • This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy L clearance, which requires US Citizenship.
Preferred Requirements
  • Backflow Prevention Assembly Tester Certification/License.
