Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech-Language Pathology Assistant to join our team at Lancaster Independent School District. As a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant, you will provide essential support to our Speech-Language Pathologists in delivering high-quality services to students with speech and language disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Speech-Language Pathologists in conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and implementing interventions for students with speech and language disorders.
  • Provide direct support to students in speech and language therapy sessions, including data collection and progress monitoring.
  • Collaborate with Speech-Language Pathologists to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and educators to ensure seamless delivery of services.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills in speech and language pathology.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Communicative Science and Disorders or related field.
  • Texas license as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of speech-language disorders and conditions.
  • 50 hours of clinical observation and assisting experience as required for licensure.
