We're seeking a highly skilled Medical Surgical Registered Nurse to join our team at Travel Nurse Across America. As a MedSurg RN, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and prioritize data collection based on patients' immediate conditions or needs.
- Perform ongoing assessments and implement appropriate treatments as ordered by a physician.
- Document patient findings and provide education and support to patients' families.
- Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions to treatment.
- Change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs as needed.
- Prepare equipment and assist physicians during examinations and treatments.
- Educate patients on surgical procedures and participate in discharge planning.
Requirements:
- BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications
- 3 years of experience in Medical Surgical nursing
Physical Demands:
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
- Ability to bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with occasional lifting of patients
