Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Millwright to join our team at West Fraser, Inc. As a Millwright, you will be responsible for repairing and maintaining industrial equipment, including conveying systems, machine centers, and other machinery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Repair and maintain industrial equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety
  • Read and understand technical drawings and instructions to complete tasks efficiently
  • Work safely under high-pressure situations, using your problem-solving skills to resolve issues
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including lubricating and cleaning equipment
  • Use hand tools and power tools to assemble, install, and repair equipment
  • Align machines and equipment, using precision instruments to ensure accurate placement
  • Replace defective parts and adjust clearances and alignment of moving parts
  • Level bedplates and establish centerlines, using straightedges and levels
  • Dismantle machines, using hammers, wrenches, and other hand tools
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum two years of verifiable work experience as a Millwright
  • Welding experience (GMAW and/or SMAW) and cutting torch experience (Oxygen/Acetylene) required
  • Ability to work night/day shifts and successfully complete pre-employment drug screen, physical, reference check, and background check
