About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Veterinary Technician to join our team at Thrive Pet Healthcare. As a Veterinary Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support veterinarians in ensuring quality veterinary care and advocating for pets
  • Assist with surgeries and procedures in accordance with state Veterinary Practice Act
  • Communicate with clients about individualized pet health concerns and offer guidance on Thrive Membership options, medications, and additional treatments
  • Present financial options and estimates
  • Prepare medications
  • Assist in maintaining relevant, comprehensive medical records with the support of practice systems
  • Obtain relevant health history and information from clients and maintain medical charts
  • Use safe restraining techniques, follow standard protocols, and sustain clean, sterile, organized treatment areas, exam rooms, and labs
Requirements
  • Veterinary technician experience required
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience
  • RVT preferred
  • Proficient in IV catheter placement, blood draws, and IV, IM, and SQ injections
  • Proficient in monitoring anesthesia and working with various monitoring equipment
  • Team player
  • Eager to learn and self-motivated
  • Enjoys a challenging and fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task
