Job Summary:
This position involves conducting thorough patient assessments, prioritizing data collection, and performing ongoing assessments and treatments as ordered by physicians. The ideal candidate will have the ability to provide high-quality bedside care, prepare and administer medications, change dressings, and educate patients on surgical procedures.
The successful candidate will be responsible for participating in discharge planning, initiating patient education plans, and working in a fast-paced environment treating patients with various conditions. This role requires strong communication and teamwork skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a dynamic healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing exceptional bedside care for pre- and post-op patients
- Preparing and administering medications safely and accurately
- Changing dressings, inserting catheters, and starting IVs as needed
- Assisting physicians during examinations and treatments
- Educating patients on surgical procedures and promoting independence
- Participating in discharge planning and developing patient education plans
Requirements:
To be considered for this opportunity, applicants must have a valid BLS certification and at least 2 years of experience in Medical-Surgical nursing. A strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care and excellent communication skills are essential for success in this role.
Estimated Salary Range: $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience
