Key Responsibilities- Deliver fun and engaging service to guests, creating a positive experience in our Smokehouse department.
- Actively engage with guests through freshly prepared Smokehouse samples and story-selling, showcasing our products and services.
- Perform activities outlined in the Pit Master character performance description, bringing our brand to life.
- Operate the department according to strict merchandising and operational standards, ensuring a seamless guest experience.
- Maintain the quality of product for sale, adhering to Lowes Foods standards.
- Ensure sanitation and safety throughout the department, adhering to Lowes Foods standards.
- Perform product preparation, receiving, ordering, stocking, and guest service as necessary to achieve standards.
- Maintain HACCP required product information log sheets as necessary.
- Perform light meat cutting duties as needed.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
- Perform PA announcements, effectively communicating with guests and team members.
- Friendly, energetic, and outgoing personality, with a passion for delivering exceptional guest service.
- Ability to actively engage guests and be willing to have fun with our guests, creating a positive and memorable experience.
- Willingness to perform in front of large crowds and draw attention to the Smokehouse department, showcasing our products and services.
- Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritizing guest needs and maintaining a high level of service.
- Ability to work well with others, collaborating with team members to achieve departmental goals.
- Ability to lift 25 lbs. consistently and 50 lbs. occasionally, with a focus on maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
- Previous meat cutting/trimming experience, with a strong understanding of meat department operations.
- Previous culinary knowledge and/or background, with a focus on delivering high-quality products and services.
- Ability to read and understand information and direction, with a focus on maintaining a high level of service and quality.
- Knowledge of deli and meat department operations, with a focus on delivering exceptional guest service.
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job, with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Effective communication, guest service, and selling skills, with a focus on delivering exceptional results.
- Must be at least 18 years old, with a focus on maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
