Polysomnography Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Polysomnography Tech to join our team at Healthier Mississippi People (HMP). As a Polysomnography Tech, you will be responsible for conducting polysomnographic exams on patients to detect sleep disorders and provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment.

• Conduct daytime and nighttime polysomnographic exams on patients to detect sleep disorders.
• Score and result sleep studies to completion for physician review.
• Teach and train new and less experienced techs in procedures, techniques, and responsibilities.
• Assign studies and nightly duties to other techs and oversee all studies being performed.
• Follow procedural protocols to ensure collection of appropriate data and document procedures and data recorded from exams.
• Attend sleep study clinic, perform tech consults, and complete other managerial duties as assigned.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) certification or Registered Sleep Technologist (RST) certification.
• A minimum of one year of work experience scoring and resulting sleep studies.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.

This role requires occasional exposure to unpleasant or disagreeable physical environments, including high noise levels and exposure to heat and cold. You will also be required to handle or work with potentially dangerous equipment and be exposed to biohazardous conditions.
