Hillcrest Medical Center is a prominent 656-bed hospital equipped with advanced medical technology and specialized centers, including a burn center and a women's health center. We believe in a collaborative approach to healthcare, where every team member plays a vital role in patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Patient Care Technician, you will:
1. Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and eating.
2. Monitor and document patients' vital signs and report findings to nursing staff.
3. Provide basic patient transport and maintain cleanliness in the unit.
4. Assist in medical procedures, including feeding tube and catheter administration, and perform ECGs as directed.
5. Support the coordination of daily activities within the unit and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
Required:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Completion of an accredited CNA, PCT, or paramedic program, or be a senior nursing student nearing program completion.
- Competency in at least two areas of practice.
- Basic Life Support certification.
Preferred:
- A minimum of five years of experience in acute or long-term care settings.
- Proven skills in phlebotomy.
