Job Summary

Purple Drive is seeking a highly skilled Salesforce Developer to join our team. As a key member of our software engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and troubleshooting creative software solutions using Java.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop secure, high-quality production code and review and debug code written by others
  • Identify opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems
  • Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture
  • Lead communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies
  • Add to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5 years applied experience in Salesforce
  • Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
  • Advanced in one or more programming language(s)
  • Experience writing Apex classes and triggers
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce Lightning Design System
  • Experience writing SOQL for handling data
  • Knowledge of building REST APIs using Java Spring Boot
  • Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods
  • Proficiency in HTML, XML, JavaScript, SQL/SOQL, Java/C/OOP
  • Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
  • Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g. cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Knowledge of data structures and algorithms
  • Platform Developer 1 Certification
