Job Description

The Learning Experience is seeking a skilled Child Nutrition Specialist to join our team.

Overview

We are a reputable childcare provider dedicated to providing high-quality education and care for children. Our ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering nutritious meals that meet the needs of preschoolers.

Estimated Salary: $45,000 - $55,000 per year

This role involves planning, preparing, and cooking healthy meals for preschool children while maintaining proper food safety and handling procedures. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with our center leadership team to manage inventory, communicate with parents, and provide excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and prepare nutritious meals for preschool children in accordance with dietary requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of food allergies and ensure safe food handling practices.
  • Collaborate with the Center Leadership team to purchase food and supplies and manage inventory levels.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to parents and children.
Requirements:
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of experience in food preparation and cooking.
  • A food handling certificate or the ability to obtain one within 90 days of hire.
  • The ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs.
