As a Radiologic Technologist, you will be responsible for producing high-quality radiographic images while ensuring compliance with established safety protocols and quality control measures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate accurate x-rays by applying accepted radiographic techniques and understanding human anatomy.
- Assess the quality of produced radiographs, ensuring proper labeling and discernibility of all necessary information.
- Conduct darkroom operations, including the loading and unloading of cassettes and the management of automatic film processors.
- Perform routine maintenance on radiographic equipment and report any deficiencies promptly.
- Adhere to safety precautions regarding equipment usage and maintain a clean working environment.
- Manage data entry and maintain the x-ray database, ensuring compliance with licensing and certification requirements.
- Collaborate with assigned Homeless Shelters as needed.
- Undertake additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Education and experience equivalent to an Associate's degree from an accredited Radiologic Technology Training School.
- A minimum of one year of relevant work experience.
Essential Skills:
- Proficient in standard software applications.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to foster effective working relationships with colleagues and the public.
- Must hold the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) Certification and Medical Radiologist Texas (MRT) certification.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform tasks requiring bending, lifting, and carrying up to 25 lbs. without assistance.
